The Washington football team and the Giants are fighting for their first victory in 2021 tonight on “Thursday Night Football.”

After Ryan Fitzpatrick’s hip injury on Sunday, Washington’s Taylor Heinicke will make his debut since the 2020 NFL playoffs. Heinicke intervened in Fitzpatrick’s charge of chargers, filling 11 out of 15 passes in 122 yards in total and touching the floor. Giants quarterback Daniel Jones still needs to prove himself fit to stay with the Giants after Sunday’s defeat by the Broncos. Saquon Barkley’s performance last week was another downfall for the Giants – he ran just 26 yards out of 10 carries and could be questioned on Thursday with a knee injury.

Washington have lost to the Giants in their last five meetings, but are entering Week 2 as a favorite of 3.5 points in an NFC East game.

10:56 pm – Heinicke tries to run the first one down, but he stumbles which makes the ball easier to catch. Penalty is thrown at the Giants for a defensive touch, so Washington are out of that unhappy game.
