Scholarships will take effect from the 2021-22 academic year

Professor Tiwari said the bursary would be used from the 2021-22 academic year and would cater for students whose parents have an annual income of less than Rs 20 lakh. Professor Tiwari continued, “At IIT Kharagpur we believe that the education of any good student should not be restricted by financial constraints … It is our duty and our privilege and our pleasure to help all these noble and talented but economically challenged students to access higher education.”
