Kylian Mbappé is out, Cristiano Ronaldo is out
Al-Khelaifi believes Mbappé will not be reinstated, but will not let him go to Real Madrid until 2022.
Nasser Al-Khelaifi’s dream team of PSG has no limits. After a number of international signings in the summer, PSG have continued to confirm the signing of Lionel Messi when everyone thinks he has already renewed (or signed) Barcelona. It now emerges that the PSG manager has not only decided not to sell Kylian Mbappé to Madrid this summer, but that he is already preparing a replacement for next season. The Frenchman will end his contract with the French capital and will be free to sign for Real Madrid, as he has not yet renewed his contract with PSG.
Mbappé goes to Real Madrid
SINCE they understood PSG had already agreed that Mbappé would move to the Bernabéu at the end of next season, for free. They know that the boy has a clear idea of what he is going to do with his life and that there is nothing that will make him change his mind. But on the return visit PSG will sign Cristiano Ronaldo, who will also be free to leave Juventus on June 30, 2022. PSG will exchange players for each other and it will not cost him a transfer fee. They will not get one euro in Madrid, but they already have another place for the same cost. Combining Messi, Neymar and Cristiano, the 2015 Ballon d’Or spokesman, could be an impressive feat. Messi won the race with 41.3% of the vote, Cristiano second with 27.7% and Neymar third with 7.8%. Al-Khelaifi’s dream has always been to unite the three players in Paris and as Messi’s contract is finalized, he is getting closer.
The PSG project in progress
Jorge Mendes, Cristiano’s agent, already knows everything. And Cristiano will have more motivation. He will arrive in Paris at the age of 37 and sign for another two years, which will take him to 39 years, which is when he is considering taking a step aside or leaving the most sought after football, perhaps in the USA or Qatar. If Cristiano walks out the same door as Mbappé, no one in Parc des Princes would be upset. The PSG galáctico project was released and is very reminiscent of the galáctico project Florentino Pérez built in Madrid between 2000 and 2004.
But back to Mbappé. Speaking at PSG’s official launch ceremony for Messi, Al-Khelaifi said: “Mbappé wanted a competitive team and now he has it. He has no excuses.” The last four words sounded like a threat to the French player. In Real Madrid, the PSG president’s response has been taken lightly, as it is already known that Florentino will not get a single green light on his transfer to the Bernabéu this summer.
PSG’s position is to put pressure on Mbappé to forget about his dream of Madrid in these terms, which puts him in a lot of conflict with PSG fans who have obviously committed themselves to Messi since arriving in Paris.
In Madrid, they are calm: “Kylian is a child with a good head on his shoulders and will not change his decision due to social pressure and coercion from Al-Khelaifi. We remain calm with him”. Indeed, Mbappé has spoken to his family and his decision to sign for Madrid is undisputed, either this summer if PSG finally opens its hand to negotiate (something impossible, given what we have seen) or wait for the season to continue so that 1 January can speak freely to Madrid. So, if Al-Khelaifi wants to block Mbappé with his rhetoric or threaten Madrid with this threat to keep him in Paris or whatever, he is not achieving his goal. Both Madrid and Mbappé know what the future holds. Private, they have already said “I do” to each other. The name sometimes costs more than a 200-page contract. Florentino is vigilant and knows that things will happen between now and 31 August and that Mbappé will send a few more messages. But Mbappé will definitely arrive in Madrid. And through that door Cristiano will join PSG.
Mbappé remains silent
“Mbappé said:” I want a big team. Right now, he has a big team, one of the best teams in the world. He has everything to stay here. I told him, he has no excuses to leave, “Al-Khelaifi said. . The PSG president continued at the French station Le Parisien: “I will never talk about the talks with Mbappé and his family. It is a matter between us. Kylian is happy with Messi’s arrival. Some media want problems, but they are not.”
Evidence that the two are close is Mbappé’s peace at the arrival of Messi. Neymar celebrated it on social media (“We’re back together”, “we’re back together”) but Kylian kept quiet about what seemed to be a purpose and a strategy. The last thing Mbappé posted on his Instagram was a photo in Disneyland Paris near the Iron Man window. PSG made a platform to celebrate Messi’s arrival, but put Argentina in the middle, leaving Mbappé on the sidelines. That’s what a 22-year-old Frenchman feels. He has seen that every year his role at PSG is reduced, just imagine what he would gain if he came to Real Madrid.
