One trip, two travels, for sale! To celebrate her 71st birthday, more than 1,300 commemorations given to Narendra Modi to be put up for auction
To celebrate the prime minister’s birthday, the department of culture organized auction for the gifts he received. A spear thrown by Olympic gold medalist Neeraj Chopra for a basic price of Rs 75 lakh, a Chardham woodwork is one of the items in the area. The spear Neeraj Chopra, India’s first Olympic gold medal is sold at auction for as low as Rs 75 lakh and is expected to fetch more than a thousand. As part of the auction it was the badminton bag and P V Sindhu’s racket, which he gave to Modi, after winning a bronze medal at the Olympics. Sindhu has made history by winning back medals at the 2020 and 2016 Olympics. He won a Bronze medal at the Tokyo Olympic 2020 in addition to his existing Silver Medal from Rio Olympics 2016. The basic price of a bag and a racket is Rs 80,000. The auction starting today will continue until 7 October. Image recognition:
The auction features models of important buildings, sculptures, paintings and monuments that the Prime Minister received from visiting dignitaries and during important events over the past two years. The Swachh Bharat Mission, launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, is a nationwide campaign launched by the Government of India in 2014 to end transparency and improve the management of solid waste. This was presented to the Prime Minister by Syed Rizwan Ali of Hyderabad. Bids starting at Rs 3 lakh are expected to be available. Image recognition:
A Kedarnath temple painting and a portrait of Prime Minister Narendra Modi are also for sale. Issued by R K Pachnanda, IPS (retd), Chairperson, of the Haryana Public Service Commission, has an initial value of Rs 4 lakh. A similar auction was held in September 2019 when about 2,770 items went under the hammer more.
