Manchester United will be looking to extend their unbeaten start to the new season when they visit the BSC Young Boys in their opening Champions League match on Tuesday evening.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side have been drawn in Group F for this year’s tournament and will face Atalanta and Villarreal in the group stage in the coming weeks.

The Reds are looking to do better in Europe on this after being eliminated from the group stage of the Champions League last year and thereafter ending a runner-up in the Europa League.

United have selected a strong Swiss club with the signing of Cristiano Ronaldo in the summer, with Donny van de Beek also out of action. Raphael Varane and Mason Greenwood are the favorites. United captain Harry Harry Maguire said the decision to switch back three times during the break against Young Boys was due to the crosses the home team had put in the box.

United took a 1-0 lead at half-time against the Swiss side but played 10 men in the last 10 minutes of the first half after Aaron Wan-Bissaka was shown a red card for a foul on Christopher Martins.

At that point United had to deal with a series of bombings, which led to Ole Gunnar Solskjaer introducing Raphael Varane during the break to replace Donny van de Beek.

That meant Varane lined up in the middle with three players in the back, with Victor Lindelof on the right and Maguire on the left. But the home side equalized for Moumi Ngamaleu and found the winner in the 95th minute after Jordan Siebatcheu hit Jesse Lingard’s back belt more news.
